Route Setter Cory

Cory, the most amazing setter ever, is leaving ARG. Cory is headed to Tucson, AZ to set at Rocks and Ropes.  This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the best setters in the nation and set at a state of the art bouldering facility. We will miss you Cory!! We wish you the best of luck at your new job.

SARG under Construction!

South Austin Rock Gym is under Route Construction!  This past week we have been setting routes for tomorrow's climbing competition.  We are hosting the USA Climbing's Bouldering Regionals Comp.  Most of the vertical routes have had their starting holds removed therefore roped climbing is not ideal right now.  Immediately after the competition tomorrow we will rebuild the roped routes.

The competition is an onsight format with two rounds, a qualifying round and a finals round.  The competitors will not be able to see the routes before they climb.  This increases the difficulty and adds a bit more pressure.  If you are interested in volunteering as a judge, please come to the volunteer meeting this evening at 7p.  Spectators are welcome and will be absolutely amazed with the ability of these climbers!  Please call 416-9299 or email routesetter@austinrockgym.com with any questions.
